No Strange – Demos 1983

The transition from No-Strani to No Strange took place toward the end of 1982, when the band felt the need to move away from a post-punk and new wave scene that seemed to be revealing too many inner contradictions—the same ones that had helped shape it only a few years earlier. Looking back to their roots, the band reconnected with psychedelia and krautrock. The tracks collected here are the first recordings released under the name No Strange: early, instinctive sessions, recorded without professional polish, featuring simple lyrics sung in English.
