The Basements – Feelings / Foolish Lies

The Basements formed in Thessaloniki, Greece back in 2009. They combine their obvious influences, such as the Seeds, the 13th Floor Elevators and the myriads of bands assembled on such compilations as “Teenage Shutdown” and “60s Garage Punk Unknowns”, with an original approach to songwriting. After three LPs, an EP and a 7″, they return with two brand-new tunes recorded for Rogue Records: A side “Feelings”, a fuzz- and Farfisa-driven mid-tempo groover, is paired with “Foolish Lies” on the flip, a wyld garage punk freakout.
