The Tribal Noise were one of the most significant and representative bands of Bologna in the 1980s, with a large following of fans and prospects that seemed more than mere hopes. Dark and new wave sounds, tribal drums, and atmospheres reminiscent of Joy Division, The Cure, and Siouxsie and the Banshees, which over time evolved into a more aggressive and distorted post-punk style. Their lyrics, in Italian, perfectly embodied the spirit of the era (and still surprisingly resonate today in some passages). During those years of intense live activity, there wasn\u2019t a street in the historic center where their name didn\u2019t appear on the walls, and in 1986 they entered the recording studio for C.A.S. Records, the label of the historic punk-oi band Nabat.<\/p>\n
The intention was to release a 7-inch containing the band’s two emblematic songs: \u201cCitt\u00e0 In Fiamme\u201d and \u201cTenebre Veloci Su Bologna.\u201d Unfortunately, history had other plans, and the 7-inch was never released. After two independently released cassettes, which have become rare collector\u2019s items over time, the Tribal Noise disbanded in the early months of 1987, and the members pursued other musical projects (some of which continue to this day).<\/p>\n
Now, in 2024, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Tribal Noise\u2019s formation, “that” 7″ which never saw the light of day.<\/p>\n
