Formed in 1967, the group signed to Pye Records the following year, following a series of legendary appearances at the Middle Earth club and a support slot for Jefferson Airplane on their first UK tour. The single ‘All Day, All Night’ released in November 1968 was to become a sought after classic of the genre. The band’s 1969 debut album was an equally fine work with many classic tracks such as ‘Ride With Captain Max’. With original vinyl copies now reaching astronomical sums among collectors, this reissue is most welcome!
