ça c’est une brillante idée que de rééditer ce qui fut le 4ème album des australiens (180 grammes, gatefold, nouvelles liners notes…) ! D’une part pour l’édification des jeunes générations. Mais aussi pour le plus grand contentement des amateurs les plus anciens. Puisque, à titre perso, je ne connaissais spas cet album des Celibate Rifles. Et que, par ailleurs, tous les enregistrements que j’ai d’eux sont des copies K7.
\n Après une paire d’écoute qui m’ont remis immédiatement dans le bain et rappelé pourquoi ce groupe à un noyau dur de fans ultra fidèle ! Ce qui m’a frappé aussi c’est à quel point on peut entendre des éléments de leurs musique dans toutes une filiation qui vient jusqu’à aujourd’hui : Grunge, Power Pop Musclée, Stoner, Psyché…<\/strong>
\n Ces piliers du Power Rock australiens ont contribué (et pas qu’un peu) à édifier la légende du Rock down under. Et ça s’entend ! Des guitares barbelées, un bassiste très présent, un batteur direct et un chanteur avec une voix caractéristique !!! Et des putains de titres !
\n Une variété de chansons qui parfois puisent dans le Psyché, le Heavy, Le Pub Rock, la Pop, le proto Punk, le Rock éternel…<\/strong>
\n Les occasions de réécouter dans de telle conditions un morceau de l’histoire du Rock sont assez rare pour ne pas s’en priver ! Surtout quand ça atteint un tel niveau de qualité !<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
