At first I tought <\/p>\n
they’re Germans, but in the meantime I realized that it’s only what <\/p>\n
their “bombs” are aimed at … and it’s Italy where they’re being <\/p>\n
lauched from. Even though only American references (Fuzztones, The <\/p>\n
Chesterfield Kings, Sonics, Seeds) are mentioned in the press <\/p>\n
release, however audiable they are as well, it’s the British mid’60s <\/p>\n
r’n’b BOOM, that these ears are being deafened by after the explosion <\/p>\n
of these particular bombs. The closest contemporary reference point <\/p>\n
might be the Japanese soulmates The Routes, capturing the raw essence <\/p>\n
of The Pretty Things, The Downliners Sect, The Yardbirds or The <\/p>\n
Animals, in the most punked up of ways, with a choice for a cover <\/p>\n
like ‘Teenage kicks’ <\/em>, revealing yet another source where <\/p>\n the energy is being drawn from. The ‘Killers’ standard choice of <\/p>\n instruments seems to be the drums, the geetar and (mostly) Vox organ, <\/p>\n with just an occasional bass and harp blow, thrown in just for the <\/p>\n bloooze of it. <\/p>\n Watch out Berlin! … though I’m kind of hoping that a bomb or two <\/p>\n might drop somewhere else as well. <\/p>\n
